Get Ready

A video of still photos from the last jam at the Barn, September 16, 2017. Thanks to everyone who came to give the old place a fitting sendoff, and thanks to all the musicians and friends who have attended the jams since 1981. It was a great run.

“Get Ready” is a Motown song, written by Smokey Robinson and recorded by the Temptations in 1966 and Rare Earth in 1970. The Almost Blue version is on the CD “One Night At The Barn“, and the audio is from the CD.

The Letter

A selection of pictures of the band and friends, a few going back even before The Barn. Memories of good times and some friends we have lost. We would love to have copies of these kinds of pictures from anyone who has them. We will credit any that we use. Our new band space won’t support indoor parties on the scale of the Barn.

“The Letter” was written by Wayne Carson and recorded by The Box Tops in 1967. Almost Blue recorded a live performance at The Barn studio in 1995. This recording is included on the band’s CD “One Night At The Barn“.

She Caught The Katy

Almost Blue performs Taj Mahal and James Rachell’s “She Caught The Katy” live at the Sutton Brothers jam October 27, 2012.

Pretzel Logic
